| The sightseeing in this area include
the world famous Kailadeo Bird Sanctuary where millions
of migratory birds come here every winter from Siberia to
make the lake their home away from the freezing climes of
Siberia. It takes half/full day to do bird watching in cycle
rickshaws or on feet. Then there is a half-day excursion
to see the Deeg Palace of the erstwhile rulers of Bharatpur
which is a marvelous monument, now under the control of
the Archeological Survey of India. And finally a day has
to be kept aside to see the world famous Taj Mahal, The
Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri. This can be bone in a day
and then either return to Peharsar for another night or
board a train from Agra to Delhi after seeing all the monument.
Since Agra is so close, it is much better to stay at
Chandra Mahal Haveli than in Agra because of the wonderful
environs as well as the charm of the Haveli and the gracious
hosts. |
