	Chandelao Homestay Rajasthan
	Chandelao is forty kilometers from Jodhpur but the stay there should be for at least two or three nights because there is a lot to see by way of rural Indian life. Here you will be the guests of Thakurs Pradyuman Singh and his wife Thakurani Kiran Kumari and Pradyuman’s gracious mother, who stays in the village of Chandelao in their ancestral Garh. You will really enjoy the many wonderful delicacies that you will get a chance to eat.

The tour to Chandelao begins with a Village Safari in Pradyuman’s jeep whereby he takes you cross-country to the Weavers’ village, the Bishnois‘ Village ( the Bishnois are a special community and the original environmentalists who fiercely protected the antelopes and other species) , the Potters’ Village, the Durry or Stone-washed carpet weavers’ Village, a lake to see migratory birds from Siberia and a whole lot of wildlife enroute in form of antelopes like chinks, bluebulls, blackbucks etc.

The next day is your Camel/Bullock cart Safari and you traverse through the most interior of the Indian rural villages observing communities, wildlife, flora and fauna of the region and have a picnic lunch under a tree in the wilderness. Another day is utilized to see the balaji Satimata Temple and the Kaparda Jain Temple as well as exploring the Chandelao Village. Pradyuman will be always with you in his jeep. The family will host dinner daily on top of the ‘pol’ or the main gate from where you will get a beautiful evening view of jodhpur city and perhaps the Fort if it is not too hazy. To be in Chandelao is an experience by itself and one gets an insight into how the aristocracy of your lived to serve their people !
