The illustrious family of Kr. Hanwant Singh and Kanwarani
Hemant Kumari of Pahuna are your hosts in Udaipur. Their
ancestral home is in Sardarpura locality in the city and
they well-furnished rooms with attached bathrooms with
all modern amenities.
The history of the family goes back to Maharana Pratap,
whose second brother Viramdev is the head of the Pahuna
jagir. Kanwar Hanwant Singhji’s father, Brigadier
Jaswant Singhji had a military career and commanded the
Mewar Infantry which saw action in Europe and Africa as
also liberated Diu/Goa. Kr. Hanwant Singhji served james
Finlay which later became Tata Tea and he retired as a
Senior General manager in 2000. Kanwarani Hemant Kumari
hails from Anandpuri in Banswara. The couple are a perfect
hosts and the guests will really enjoy staying and dining
with them.
